Looking for strings, brass, woodwind, percussion

Did you play a string, woodwind, brass or percussion instrument in high school or college?

Do you miss playing?

Do you want a fun way to meet people, play your instrument again, and give back to your community?

Dimensions in Sound & The Studio Orchestra is a non-profit group consisting of two groups: a 17-piece big band and a 30-piece full orchestra. All our members are volunteers who perform classical music, pops music and broadway show tunes for the elderly population of Dane County.

We serve two populations:

1. We give our volunteer members a place to practice their instrument in a group setting and have fun while doing it. (YOU!)
2. We go in and perform for communities who can’t access live music due to mobility or monetary issues. (Nursing homes, assisted living communities, Salvation Army, etc.)

We are looking for musicians to play in The Studio Orchestra, starting rehearsal September 15.

This is for you if you:
– want to pick up your instrument again
– play an orchestra or band instrument at a high school level
– want to give back to your community
– want to make new friends
– want to play in an easy going, fun, non-audition group

We are specifically looking for: cello, bass, viola, trombone, trumpet, french horn, flute, tuba, percussion. But if you play any instrument, feel free to reach out.

We can’t wait to meet you! Contact us.
